Your best pricing on shipping is when you ship to a COMMERCIAL BUSINESS LOCATION. This is defined as a commercial business within city limits that has a means of unloading a semi truck/trailer, such as a dock or forklift, and easy access for trucks.
Shipping to a residence or non-commercial business generally raises the rates considerably. Shipping to a location outside of city limits, hospitals, schools, military bases, or marinas that are on the water will typically cost a bit more as well. We do not set shipping rates, these prices are set by the trucking companies but we do get discounts that we pass along to our customers to help keep costs as low as possible.
Additional services such as a liftgate on the truck, inside delivery, or a call prior to delivery will typically generate an additional fee. Please be aware that we are happy to arrange these services for you, but we will not cover the costs. Also, we add shipping insurance on all of our shipments, this is for your protection.
Yes, a crate is necessary. Yes, you have to pay for one if your platform is to be shipped to you. Sorry, no way around this detail!! Our crate prices vary depending on the size of platform you order, and the fee is to cover the cost of materials to build the crate.
Our customers are welcome to arrange their own shipping, we will be happy to work with you on this.
Also, if you have the means to pick up your platform in Will Call, this option is also available. You will not need the crate for Will Call orders, but be sure to bring tie-down straps and something to protect your new platform (moving blankets, old comforters, etc.) so that it doesn't get scratched or damaged in transit. We do not supply tie-down straps or padding so plan accordingly please.
Currently we are not offering international shippping. This will change in the future.
We prefer to ship via Ground service, but expedited services are available. Be aware that expedited shipping services will increase the shipping rates.
We do NOT guarantee ship dates. We can give you a close approximate as to a date we will be able to ship your order, but since all of our platforms are customer made for each order, we cannot guarantee exact ship dates.
Further, we do not own or operate any of the freight companies. Once product has been loaded on a truck, it is in the carrier's hands. We supply tracking information on each order, but occasionally delays can occur due to weather or other reasons. We are not responsible for any shipping delays, and we will not give refunds on product due to shipping circumstances beyond our control.
